Technological Systems
Base Work Truck models on display have 3.5-inch digital displays among the analog gauges on the instrument panel. Standard infotainment systems have dual-speaker stereos, allow wireless smartphone integration, and have seven-inch touch screens. Bluetooth enables drivers to use their phones hands-free. Two USB ports keep mobile devices powered.
Upgrade the technology by climbing the trim ladder or adding systems as options. Drivers might switch from a traditional instrument panel to a 12.3-inch digital instrument display. Enhance the infotainment system with a 13.4-inch touchscreen, a premium stereo with more speakers, Wi-Fi, and navigation software. Owners might add a wireless smartphone charging station along with more USB ports.
Regarding basic assist and safety features, the Silverado 1500 WT warns drivers when sensors detect danger from the front or side of the truck. A rearview camera helps minimize danger from behind. In addition, an alert reminds front-seat occupants to check the rear seat before leaving the pickup. Parents also have the option of setting restrictions for younger drivers.
Possible upgrades include a driver's heads-up display or a 360-degree live-view camera system. Super Cruise provides automated highway driving that controls the steering, acceleration, and braking when driving in and around Midland and Grand Rapids.
